Market Update:
The following new VMware solutions for the Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC) has debuted:
- VMware vCloud Suite 5.8 - This integrated offering, for building and managing a VMware vSphere private cloud based on an SDDC architecture, enables organizations to achieve critical IT outcomes around efficiency, control, and agility.
- VMware vSphere with Operations Management 5.5 - Now includes enhanced availability, performance, storage, and scalability.
- VMware vRealize Suite - This combines the capabilities of the existing VMware cloud automation, cloud operations, and cloud business management solutions into a single offering.
- VMware vRealize Operations Insight - a transactional upgrade bundle with improved operations management and log analytics capabilities.
On October 6, HP announced it would split into two separate companies — Hewlett Packard Enterprise and HP, Inc. The former will focus on software and services and the latter will provide PC and printer operations. Read more here.
